ARTICLE XIV:  OFFICIAL LANGUAGE
The official language of the Constitutional Cherokee is Cherokee in any dialect. 
All members are encouraged to learn and use the language in their homes, communities and daily life.
All leaders are required to use the Cherokee language whenever possible and every leader in any capacity must either be a speaker of Cherokee or student of Cherokee who demonstrates continual progress in learning and using the language.
All government, historical and political documents are required to be translated into Cherokee if they were produced in any other language first, however Cherokee documents are NOT required to be translated into any other language but may be translated as a courtesy if desired but no public  or government funds are to ever be used for the translation of Cherokee documents into any other language other than that of Cherokee.
The transcription of a Cherokee document from syllabary to phonetic or from phonetic to syllabary is not seen as an act of translation and is permissible.
